The U.S. State Department has approved a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Poland for Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and associated logistics.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the $1.275 billion arms deal.
The sale includes 360 AARGM-ER All Up Rounds (AUR), 8 AGM-88G AARGM-ER Guidance Sections (spares), and 8 AGM-88G AARGM-ER Control Sections (spares), along with training, support equipment, spare parts, and technical documentation.
Poland seeks these missiles to enhance self-defense capabilities against land or sea-based radar systems linked with enemy air defenses, improving aircraft survivability.
Northrop Grumman Systems in Falls Church, Virginia, will be the principal contractor.
