The Irkutsk Aviation Plant, a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), has completed the delivery of a batch of Yak-130 combat training aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The aircraft have undergone necessary ground and flight tests and have been transported to their designated location.
Developed by Yakovlev PJSC (part of the UAC Rostec State Corporation), the Yak-130 combat training aircraft is maneuverable and comes with a modern avionics system. The Yak-130 has been chosen as the base aircraft for both basic and advanced training of Russian Aerospace Forces pilots.
The aircraft enable the training of pilots for generation 4+ and 5 combat aircraft. It can be utilized for training in conditions simulating combat situations, involving the conditional or actual use of air-to-air/air-to-ground weapons.
