The Israeli and German navies signed a two-year Joint Working Plan on July 4 to enhance their cooperation and ensure regional stability.
According to an official Israeli statement, Rear Admiral Ulrich Reineke, Director of Plans and Policy on behalf of the German Navy, and Rear Admiral Guy Goldfarb, Deputy Commander in Chief and Chief of Staff on behalf of the Israeli Navy, signed the plan.
During his visit, Rear Admiral Reineke received comprehensive operational briefings on the Israeli Navy's current activities, toured the Israeli Naval Maritime Operations Center (MOC), and attended an exhibition detailing the events of the October 7 incident carried out by the Hamas militants.
The cooperation between the Israeli and German navies has long been built on mutual knowledge sharing, joint naval training, and exercises. The newly signed Joint Working Plan aims to expand this cooperation further, enhancing both navies' operational capabilities and contributing to regional stability.
Rear Admiral Goldfarb said, "The ongoing cooperation and newly signed Joint Working Plan signify a robust commitment to maintaining peace and security in our region. It reflects our shared values and the strategic importance of our alliance."
