Rostec has delivered a new batch of modernized artillery to the Russian Defense Ministry, including 2S12A Sani mobile mortars, 2B11 towed mortars, and 2B24 light mortars.
The corporation is ramping up production to meet state requirements.
The Sani complex features a transport vehicle with increased mobility based on the Ural, capable of traveling 1,000 kilometers. It carries a 120-mm 2B11 mortar, which is unloaded using an electric winch. The Sani’s mobility allows for "roving" mortar tactics, enabling frequent position changes to mislead adversaries about fire systems and force numbers.
The 2B11 mortar boasts a high rate of fire and an effective range of over 7 km. Its modified plate allows for all-around firing, with ammunition designed for over fifty shots. This capability supports overhead fire against enemy positions, command posts, and equipment.
The 2B24 82mm mortar is lightweight and intended for infantry, including mountain units. It is easy to operate and effective against personnel, shelters, and lightly armored vehicles.
