A school in Gaza was hit by a rocket fired by Hamas on July 23, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Several projectiles were launched by Hamas from the Maghazi area in central Gaza toward Israel. The projectiles did not cross into Israeli territory and instead fell inside Gaza. One of these projectiles struck a school in the Nuseirat area.
The IDF further claimed that Hamas' rocket fire continues to endanger both Israeli and Gazan civilians.
Additionally, IDF troops commenced operations in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, targeting militants with tank and aerial strikes. IDF aircraft reportedly hit over 50 sites associated with enemy infrastructure, including weapons storage facilities, observation posts, and tunnels used by Hamas.
IDF forces are also engaged in targeted operations in the Rafah area, eliminating dozens of militants through aerial strikes and close-quarters combat.
