 Ukrainian forces control about 1,000 Sq Km of Russian territory in Kursk, in just 4 days of advance, according to the  Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

This was discussed during the meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on August 12, which was attended by Ukrainian officials, including the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov and the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyryll Budanov.

According to Sirskyi, during the Stavka, defensive operations at the front and the operation in the Kursk region were discussed.

"The most important thing was the report of the Central Committee Oleksandr Syrsky regarding our defensive actions at the front and the operation in the Kyrsk region,"  President Zelenskyi said, according to Ukrainian media reports.

Extensive use of NATO weaponry in Ukraine’s Kursk offensive: Russian investigation

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are using weapons supplied by NATO countries in combat operations in the Kursk region, according to the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko.

“It has been established that the Ukrainian side in the Kursk region is actively using small arms, heavy equipment, multiple launch rocket systems and other weapons supplied by NATO countries,” her words are quoted on the department’s Telegram channel today.

Separately, the Russian MoD reported, in the course of counter-battery warfare on Monday, two U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzers, one U.S.-made 155-mm M198 howitzer, one 152-mm D-20 howitzer, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, one 122-mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, and two UK-made 105-mm L-119 howitzers were destroyed in the Kursk direction.

The AFU losses amounted to more than 390 Ukrainian troops, one U.S.-made M1A1 Abrams tank, two U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, three armoured fighting vehicles, six motor vehicles, one U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, one 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers, and one U.S.-made 105-mm M119 howitzer on Sunday.
