A fire broke out at an oil depot in Feodosia, located in the Russian-occupied region of Crimea, during the early hours of October 7, following a suspected drone attack, according to Russian media reports.

Residents reported hearing several powerful explosions around 4:30 a.m. local time, shortly before the fire began. Local authorities confirmed the incident but referred to it only as a fire.

Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor to the Russia-installed proxy head of Crimea, stated on Telegram, "There’s a fire at the Feodosia oil depot. Emergency services are on the scene. No casualties or injuries have been reported."

The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that airfields in Belbek and Saky were also attacked overnight.

Russian Emergencies Ministry crews are on the scene and trying to battle the blaze.

The Telegram channel ASTRA later specified that the facility involved in the fire was the Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia, which had previously been targeted by drone strikes in March 2024. During that incident, four drones struck the depot, damaging the main fuel pipeline and causing a fire that took over an hour to extinguish.

The Feodosia terminal is the largest facility in Crimea for handling oil products, with another similar terminal located in Sevastopol. In recent months, Ukrainian forces have conducted multiple drone strikes against Russian oil infrastructure, aiming to disrupt profits that support Moscow's ongoing war efforts.
