HENSOLDT has introduced three new digital optronic systems for the Leopard 2A8 and PUMA vehicles, combining optical technologies with sensors to improve reconnaissance and targeting accuracy.

The systems include the ATTICA GL Digital, a thermal imaging solution for the gunner of the Leopard 2A8. It allows for target acquisition in both medium-wave infrared (MWIR) and long-wave infrared (LWIR) ranges. Paired with the PERI RTWL Digital, a stabilised periscope for commanders, the system provides precise target acquisition in various visibility conditions. The PERI RTWL Digital integrates full HD day cameras and video processing technology to offer a stabilised field of vision.

The WAO Digital weapon station, developed for the PUMA infantry fighting vehicle and Boxer RCT30, offers long-range electro-optical target acquisition with continuous zoom capabilities. Its NATO-compliant design ensures compatibility across platforms, maintaining operational readiness.

These systems incorporate AI-supported video processing and thermal imaging technologies, designed to improve situational awareness and combat effectiveness. HENSOLDT has stressed the systems' compliance with NATO and MIL standards, which allows for easy integration across different platforms.
