Russian scientists, in collaboration with Moscow State University developers, have connected a rat's brain to artificial intelligence (AI) in a pioneering experiment.
The rat was able to answer "yes" or "no" to various questions using a keyboard, marking a significant step in neural interface technology.
The experiment, conducted with the assistance of a neural device that stimulated specific areas of the rat's brain, allowed the animal to respond to hundreds of questions. Correct answers were rewarded with a treat, providing positive reinforcement.
The research is seen as a potential precursor to connecting human brains to vast knowledge networks, enabling faster information processing and interaction with AI.
