Brazil’s Embraer, PT Dirgantara Indonesia to Boost Commercial Aviation

Embraer and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), Indonesia’s leading aerospace company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in commercial aviation.

The signing took place at the Indonesia-Brazil CEO Forum during the G20 Summit in Brazil, chaired by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and attended by senior Indonesian officials and industry leaders.

Under the agreement, the two companies will conduct joint studies to evaluate potential partnerships in engineering and aerostructure supply. The collaboration will adhere to commercial and technical standards, focusing on creating mutual value and upholding high aerospace manufacturing quality.

Gita Amperiawan, President Director of PTDI, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that it leverages Embraer’s expertise to strengthen Indonesia’s commercial aviation sector.

Indonesia already operates Embraer aircraft, including the A-29 Super Tucano with the Indonesian Air Force and a fleet of business jets serviced by PT Wira Jasa Angkasa, Embraer’s authorized center in the country.
