Poland has offered artillery systems, drones, and air defense systems to Saudi Arabia during a meeting aimed at strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
On November 20, Poland’s Deputy Minister of National Defense, Paweł Bejda, met with a Saudi delegation led by Saad Saleh Alsaleh, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Poland, and Hassan Huwayz, Chairman of the Saudi Federation of Chambers of Commerce. The meeting, hosted by Poland’s Ministry of National Defense, focused on exploring defense sector collaboration as part of the broader economic relationship.
The Saudi representatives expressed interest in Poland’s defense industry, highlighting its innovation and technological competitiveness. Poland, in turn, identified Saudi Arabia as a key market for expanding its arms exports. Deputy Minister Bejda emphasized Poland's willingness to transfer technology and share expertise to support the development of Saudi Arabia's local defense production capabilities.
During the talks, Poland offered artillery systems, drones, and anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems, which could meet Saudi Arabia’s defense needs. Both sides agreed to continue expert-level discussions to advance potential cooperation, the Polish Defense Ministry said, without specifying the products discussed.
The Middle East's growing arms market and Saudi Arabia’s strategic investments in defense have positioned the Kingdom as a priority partner for Poland in the sector.
