Brazilian Army Orders Embraer's SABER M200 Vigilante Anti-Aircraft Radar
SABER M200 Vigilante Radar

Embraer has signed a contract with the Brazilian Army worth R$102 million for the delivery of a SABER M200 Vigilante radar.

The contract, finalized at the Mostra BID National Defense and Security Fair, includes the radar in a series configuration, along with ongoing technical and operational evaluations.

The SABER M200 Vigilante radar utilizes signal processing technology to detect and track aircraft trajectories, providing ground forces with enhanced autonomy in anti-aircraft defense. The system features an integrated power generator for easy transport by land or air.

This marks the Brazilian Army’s first use of the radar, strengthening its low and medium-altitude anti-aircraft defense capabilities. The radar’s deployment could serve as a model for future use by other Brazilian Armed Forces branches and potential export opportunities.
