The Russian-made Supercam S350 UAV will be presented for the first time in Southeast Asia during the Viet Nam Defence Expo 2024 in Hanoi, from December 19 to 22.

The drone, developed by the Unmanned Systems Group, is designed for both military and civilian applications, with a focus on surveillance, reconnaissance, and security operations.

The Supercam S350 UAV can assist in border protection, South China Sea patrols, supporting the Ministry of Public Security, ensuring fire safety, and monitoring oil and gas infrastructure. It operates in harsh conditions, including high humidity and temperatures up to +45°C, without requiring a runway. Its lightweight, maneuverable design includes a video communication range of over 70 km, secure channels, and resistance to electronic warfare. The UAV excels in aerial monitoring with visible and infrared imaging, aerial photography, and laser scanning. Its modular components, interchangeable payloads, and gyrostabilized platforms improve flight stability and control.

The UAV is launched with a catapult and lands with a parachute, carrying sensors like video and thermal cameras that can detect a person from 1,200 meters.

Proven effective in military operations like the Syrian campaign and Special Military Operation in Ukraine, it supports reconnaissance units, transmits target coordinates, and aids artillery and MLRS adjustments, enhancing shooting accuracy and decision-making. With a high-definition camera and silent engine, it can track enemy movements and provide accurate target coordinates from 1 km altitude.

The Supercam S350 offers a cost-effective alternative to Israeli and U.S. UAVs, providing similar capabilities at a lower price. The Unmanned Systems Group, which designs and manufactures the UAV, also runs a certified training center for UAV operators.
