PBS GROUP, a Czech aerospace manufacturer, has tested its first jet engine assembled in the United States.
The company is set to invest 480 million CZK ($20.5 million) to expand and localize its production in the U.S.
The testing, conducted under stringent aviation industry standards, focused on the performance, reliability, and safety of the jet engines. These engines, initially manufactured in the Czech Republic, were finalized and tested in the U.S.
The company's jet engines, including those used in missiles, drones, and target practice, are being tested in Florida. The lower-performance PBS TJ40 series has been tested, with future plans to test the higher-performance PBS TJ80, PBS TJ100, and PBS TJ150 series. PBS GROUP aims to assemble and test engines from U.S.-manufactured parts by 2025.
