DoD Awards XTEND $8.8 Million Contract for AI-Powered PSIO sUAS

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) awarded XTEND an $8.8 million contract through the Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate (IWTSD) to deliver Precision Strike Indoor & Outdoor (PSIO) small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS).

The PSIO sUAS is the first DoD-approved flying loitering munition platform for both indoor and outdoor use.

Powered by AI, it enables real-time precision strikes with minimal human input, offering rapid deployment in urban and open-field environments, enhancing mission success and reducing risks.

DoD Awards XTEND $8.8 Million Contract for AI-Powered PSIO sUAS

The PSIO sUAS has passed live-fire testing and safety evaluations, complies with the NDAA, and will be produced in the U.S., with deliveries set for Q1 2025.
