Chinese engineers have designed a small-sized unmanned ultra-short-range air defense system based on a robotic dog, equipped with a quadruple launcher with M40 Seeker.
Images and videos of the robotic dog with the air defense system mounted on its back have surfaced on Chinese and Russian social media accounts.
These surface to air missiles ( SAMs) are capable of intercepting FPV drones and small kamikaze UAVs at speeds of up to 200 km/h at distances of up to 800-1200 m and at similar altitudes.
The SAMs can be equipped with a TV/IR homing head and the combat modes are controlled via a remote command and telemetry channel.
A large batch of such systems is capable of covering dozens of assault groups in a military operations, providing cover against UAV swarms such as the ones that struck Russian fuel and gas facilities during the past 24 hours.
