The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered a larger batch of Su-57 and Su-34 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces, marking an increase in deliveries compared to previous years.
According to UAC's official Telegram page, the aircraft were handed over at the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant for the Su-34 and at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant for the Su-57.
In total, the Aerospace Forces received approximately seven Su-57s in 2024, which were delivered in six batches.
UAC expects the production rate of the Su-57 to increase further in 2025, following new orders received in 2023.
Meanwhile, the delivery of Su-34 aircraft has been notably higher this year, with at least 10 newly built aircraft delivered since the beginning of 2024.
The Su-57, a fifth-generation multifunctional fighter, is capable of hitting air, land, and sea targets while operating in complex combat environments. It is equipped with stealth capabilities, making it effective against modern air defense systems. The Su-34 fighter-bomber, designed to strike ground and air targets, can operate in difficult weather conditions and counter enemy fire and jamming.
The increased production and delivery of these aircraft are in response to losses in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where Su-34 aircraft have been heavily engaged. UAC's efforts to ramp up production include plans to accelerate the manufacturing of Su-35 and Su-57 fighters as well. Su-57s are also used as carriers of Kh-69 cruise missiles, which have recently been deployed in strikes against Ukraine.
