Three Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were injured in an explosive device attack in Qabatiya, a town in the West Bank, early Wednesday morning.

The military confirmed that two soldiers suffered serious injuries, while a third, a reserve soldier, sustained lighter wounds. They were immediately evacuated to a hospital for further medical treatment.

According to unofficial reports, the soldiers were aboard an MDT David Light Armored Vehicle when it was struck by a roadside improvised-explosive device (IED). Footage from the scene showed IDF personnel removing the damaged vehicle after the explosion.

The Beirut-based pan-Arab Al-Mayadeen reported that Palestinian resistance fighters targeted the military vehicle as part of a broader campaign in Qabatiya. Al-Quds Brigades of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), based in the Jenin governorate, claimed responsibility for planting several IEDs along Israeli military vehicle routes, including in Qabatiya. In addition to the IED attack, the group reportedly targeted an Israeli bulldozer with explosives.

The PIJ's Jenin Brigade also stated that the confrontation with Israeli forces was ongoing, with multiple areas in Qabatiya seeing active clashes.
