Lockheed Martin delivered 10 S-70i Black Hawk helicopters to the Philippine Department of National Defense (DND) in 2024 as part of an ongoing contract to supply 32 Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopters.

The helicopters are being delivered under the DND’s Additional Utility Helicopters Acquisition Project, which aims to enhance the operational capacity of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

The S-70i Black Hawk and UH-60M Black Hawk enable a range of missions, including search and rescue, humanitarian aid, and troop transport across the archipelago.

By the end of the current contract, the Philippines will have 47 S-70i Black Hawks, the largest fleet of its kind globally.

The first five helicopters from the contract were delivered in June 2024, with another five arriving in December 2024. The remaining aircraft will be delivered in batches over the next two years.
