The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has restored a Lockheed C-130 "Hercules" transport aircraft to full operational status after completing critical structural maintenance that lasted nearly four months.
PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo said the aircraft, with tail number 5040, was formally turned over in a ceremony at Clark Air Base, Pampanga, last week. The maintenance, conducted from October 21, 2024, to February 4, 2025, aimed to ensure the aircraft's readiness for assigned missions.
The PAF operates four C-130 cargo planes, which are used for national security operations, troop and equipment transport, and disaster relief efforts.
