Patria has completed the delivery of new acoustic minesweeping systems to the Royal Norwegian Navy.

The Navy has been using the Patria SONAC ACS minesweeping systems since spring 2024.

Patria SONAC ACS is designed for clearing influence minefields by generating high sound pressure across a broad frequency range. It can simulate any ship's sound and is compatible with Mine Setting Mode (MSM) and Target Simulation Mode (TSM).

Patria developed the system based on its expertise in vessel signature measurement, influence mine technologies, and minesweeping. The acoustic sweeping gear can be operated remotely in real time. The operator selects an acoustic signal from a signature library or designs a custom signal as needed. The system interface provides controls, settings, and status monitoring during sweeping operations.

Patria SONAC ACS is a compact, lightweight acoustic sweep system designed for integration into modern USV-based minesweeping operations.
