Denmark MoD Selects Nammo to Source Ammunition

Nammo Danmark ApS has been selected by the Danish Ministry of defense to start an ammunition production facility for both small- and large-caliber ammunition in Denmark.

Nammo will produce 5.56 and 7.62 cartridges and 155 mm and 120 mm munitions.

"The worsening security situation, the war in Ukraine and FE's recently updated threat assessment underline the importance of ensuring future ammunition production in Denmark, and that it can start as soon as the facilities are ready. This will make a difference to the security of supply of Denmark, the Nordic region and Europe. Therefore, together with the parties behind the defense agreement, I have chosen the experienced company Nammo to handle the task", the MoD stated, Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen as saying.

Nammo Danmark ApS was selected from the group of evaluation offers received by the Ministry of Defense’s Materiel and Procurement Agency’s limited competitive process to establish a national production of both small- and large-caliber ammunition. The process was initiated in August 2024.
