Indonesia’s Defence Ministry has delivered 700 Maung MV3 vehicles to the military and police to strengthen national defence and security, with plans to provide at least 4,000 units.
Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin handed over the vehicles to Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto and Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at Husein Sastranegara Air Force Base in Bandung, West Java, on March 1.
The Maung MV3 is designed by PT Pindad to support military and non-military operations while boosting the national automotive industry. The vehicle can be equipped with a 7.62mm machine gun for combat and features a modular design for various operational needs.
The Maung MV3 is powered by a 2,200cc turbo diesel engine, reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h with a range of 500 km. It is available in three variants: the Maung V3 Tangguh (Spartan), Maung MV3 Touring (with a soft-top roof), and Maung MV3 Commando (with a hard-top roof).
