Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, has launched a new Process Factory at the Kazan Helicopter Plant in Tatarstan, designed to train specialists in lean manufacturing techniques.
The facility will provide a mix of theoretical and practical training, focusing on reducing production costs, optimizing workflows, and improving workplace efficiency. Certified by the Federal Competence Center in the Sphere of Labor Productivity, the program will equip participants with skills to streamline production cycles and simplify logistics.
Russian Helicopters has implemented lean manufacturing since 2015, with the technology contributing to an economic effect of over 100 million rubles in 2024 alone. The Process Factory will further expand this approach, offering hands-on experience in real-world manufacturing scenarios.
The Process Factory is part of Rostec’s broader effort to expand its network of training centers, with three sites already operational and two more planned. These facilities are equipped with modern CNC machines, laboratories, and classrooms, with a training model that is 70% practical and 30% theoretical.
