Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered a deal to U.S. President Donald Trump under which Ukraine would supply “thousands of drones” to the United States in exchange for permission to use Tomahawk missiles.

The proposal was reported by Sky News.

“That’s why we can cooperate, we can strengthen American production. We have a big offer for our drones,” Zelenskyy said, emphasizing Ukraine’s growing drone manufacturing capacity.

President Trump responded that the proposal “interests the United States,” noting that the country is already purchasing drones from several manufacturers. He also acknowledged that Ukraine’s defense industry produces “very good drones.”

However, Trump cautioned that Ukrainian strikes deep inside Russia would mark an escalation of the conflict. When asked whether his administration would allow such operations, he said Washington would “discuss the issue.”

During the exchange, a Ukrainian journalist suggested that Trump provide Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles to level the battlefield, given that Russia has been using similar long-range weapons since 2022. Trump called it a “fair question” and joked that it was “exactly what [Zelenskyy] told you,” pointing toward the Ukrainian leader.
