DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has secured a work order valued at INR 2.59 crore ($30 million) from the Indian Army – Ministry of Defence for 500 sub-tactical very short-range drones.
The company stated that the systems will include First Person View (FPV) capabilities for military use.
The agreement follows two recent defence orders placed with the firm. One contract worth INR 1.09 crore ($12.35 million) covers 180 FPV drones for the Indian Army. Another project valued at nearly INR 1 crore ($115,000) includes both drone supply and the establishment of a drone laboratory.
That package involves Combat-Ready FPV Drones in two size variants, surveillance drones, training drones, and customized nano drones, along with a lab incorporating integrated drone technologies and training functions.
