EDGE and Anduril will form the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance in the U.A.E., a jointly owned production, sales and sustainment entity to design and manufacture next-generation autonomous systems for civil and defense use.

The partnership begins with Omen, a hover-to-cruise Autonomous Air Vehicle (AAV) combining the endurance and payload of larger aircraft with a runway-independent design. The U.A.E. has ordered 50 Omen systems, creating a guaranteed production base that will expand local supply chains and advance the nation’s goal of domestic mass production.

Omen is the first of several systems to be produced under the alliance, which will serve as a manufacturing hub for commercial and defense customers across the Middle East. The companies are finalizing arrangements pending U.S. and U.A.E. approvals.

The alliance gives EDGE access to Anduril’s Lattice software platform for AI-driven command and control, while Anduril gains a trusted production base in Abu Dhabi to design and build systems for regional customers.

Omen’s lightweight, modular frame enables two-person assembly and launch without a runway. Built for endurance and payload capacity, it supports missions such as maritime surveillance, logistics resupply, communications relay, air defense sensing, humanitarian relief and disaster response.

Production and sustainment will take place in the U.A.E., while U.S. orders will be fulfilled from Anduril’s Arsenal-1 facility in Ohio. Anduril is also establishing a 50,000-square-foot R&D and virtual simulation center in the U.A.E. for design, prototyping and testing of future autonomous systems.
