Dassault Aviation & Thales to Develop Artificial Intelligence for Defence Aeronautics

Dassault Aviation and Thales, through the cortAIx AI accelerator, have formed a strategic partnership to develop AI systems for defence aviation.

The agreement was signed on 18 November and announced on 25 November at the International Adopt AI Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris.

According to Dassault Aviation, they aim to create sovereign AI solutions for both manned and unmanned aircraft, supporting observation, situation analysis, decision-making, planning and control in military operations.

Dassault Aviation and cortAIx are building long-term cooperation within a high-level global ecosystem, working in line with national and European ethical rules, including the AI Act.

The partnership was presented at the Adopt AI event through a large-scale illustration of the ambitions of current research and innovation programmes supported by the European Defence Fund.
