Leonardo has opened a new regional cyber centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of its Global CyberSec Centre (GCC) network.
The GCC, headquartered in Chieti, Italy, already operates federated Regional Cyber Centres in Brussels, Bristol, and Riyadh.
Accourding to Leonardo, The new centre will integrate Leonardo’s cybersecurity, physical security, and mission-critical communications technologies. It aims to strengthen protection against hybrid threats while supporting digital autonomy and sustainable development in Malaysia and the wider region.
Leonardo has long supported Malaysia with a broad portfolio of advanced solutions, including helicopters, military aircraft, integrated defence systems, radar, naval and electronic warfare capabilities, and security systems for critical infrastructure.
The GCC network provides cyber mission assurance to defence organisations and operators of critical national infrastructure. Its federated model allows Leonardo to share threat information and technologies globally while ensuring that each country maintains control over its strategic data and sovereignty.
