The Myanmar government is continuing joint operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas to combat telecom fraud and online gambling.
Security personnel and administrative teams are entering targeted zones, dismantling illegal buildings, and taking legal action against those involved.
According to the Myanmar Minister of Information, so far, 321 illegal buildings have been demolished in the KK Park area.
On 6 December alone, authorities destroyed 13 buildings in Section 3, bringing the total number demolished in that section to 173 out of 425.
Inspections that began on 18 November have uncovered 694 illegal buildings in Shwe Kokko, including 169 linked to online scam operations. Efforts to seal and confiscate these buildings started yesterday, and 161 have already been secured to prevent further use.
As part of the crackdown, a surprise check in Myawady led to the arrest of 96 Chinese nationals near Maethawtalay village. Authorities also identified eight illegal buildings in Ward 3 and demolished another five buildings on 6 December.
Officials report that seized materials are being systematically destroyed, and operations will continue. The government has stated that eliminating telecom fraud and online gambling is a national priority and will work with both domestic forces and neighbouring countries to ensure these crimes cannot operate within Myanmar.
