Mistral AI Wins French Defence Deal to Deploy Advanced AI Systems

The French Ministry of the Armed Forces has selected Mistral AI to enhance France’s defence capabilities through advanced artificial intelligence solutions.

Under the collaboration, the French Armed Forces, along with research institutions and public agencies under the Ministry, will gain access to Mistral AI’s models, products and teams of scientists and engineers. 

The partnership aims to support defence operations while strengthening France’s technological and strategic autonomy.

As part of the agreement, Mistral AI’s solutions will be deployed on France’s own infrastructure, ensuring full control over sensitive data and critical technologies.

 The company will also fine-tune its AI models using defence-specific data to develop customised applications tailored to operational needs and deploy them at scale.
