Rheinmetall signed a contract in December to deliver Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
The covers an initial batch of five vehicles. The first Lynx KF41 vehicles are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2026. Rheinmetall said the contract value is in the mid-double-digit million euro range, with financing provided by the Federal Republic of Germany.
Ukraine selected the Lynx KF41 after extensive testing of the platform. The vehicles will be equipped with the two-man Lance turret and configured to meet Ukraine’s specific operational requirements. Rheinmetall said the initial order is intended to lead to larger procurement batches, including future production inside Ukraine.
Rheinmetall said the Lynx KF41 was developed to address both current and future battlefield requirements, with a design that allows for modular configuration and integration of new technologies. The company added that the vehicle combines mobility, protection, and internal space to support sustained combat operations.
