Lockheed Martin and Fujitsu Limited have announced a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating the joint development of advanced technologies for both defense and commercial use.
The collaboration combines Lockheed Martin’s strength in integrated defense systems with Fujitsu’s globally recognized digital technologies and large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
Under the MoU, the two companies will work together on dual-use technologies, including quantum computing, edge computing supported by advanced sensors, real-time data fusion, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), advanced microelectronics, and next-generation multi-domain network solutions.
These technologies are expected to enhance system performance, decision-making speed, and overall operational effectiveness across defense and civilian applications.
This agreement builds on a previous partnership announced in May 2025, in which Fujitsu was selected as the supplier for Lockheed Martin’s SPY-7 Subarray Suite Power Supply Line Replaceable Unit.
That earlier agreement also focused on strengthening Japan’s defense industrial base by promoting local production, supply chain resilience, and technology transfer.
