Russia's Rostec unveiled the R-SAVER-1, an unmanned marine rescue system, at the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh today.

The civilian unmanned boat is designed to deliver rescue and special equipment quickly to maritime emergencies, including vessels in distress and offshore oil and gas facilities.

According to Rostec, the R-SAVER-1 can carry payloads of up to 600 kilograms and operate over distances of up to 800 kilometers, reaching speeds of 50 kilometers per hour. The company says these capabilities are intended to significantly reduce response times during maritime emergencies.
