Blue Water has unveiled the Liberty Class, a 190-foot autonomous ship developed in partnership with Damen and Conrad Shipyard.
Built on Damen’s Stan Patrol 6009 hull, the vessel has been re-engineered with Blue Water’s autonomous architecture to meet U.S. Navy requirements for endurance and reliability.
Liberty is a ship-sized unmanned surface vessel capable of operating independently for 2–3 months and crossing the Pacific without a crew.
The vessel measures 57.75 meters in length, has a 9-meter beam, and displaces 770 tons. It can reach speeds of 25 knots, with a range of 10,000 nautical miles. Featuring Level 4 maritime autonomy and a large working deck capable of carrying four 40-foot containers, Liberty is built for flexible, upgradable missions at sea.
