Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Director General DG Paramesh Sivamani inaugurated the MJP India Waterjet Production & Testing Facility in Goa.

More than 100 MJP waterjet propulsion systems are already in use on Coast Guard vessels, powering high-speed patrol boats and other fast interceptor crafts, with 42 additional units planned for ships currently under construction.

The newly inaugurated facility will strengthen maintenance support, indigenous testing, and long-term operational sustenance.

DG Sivamani said, "MJP AB for establishing advanced production capabilities in India under a Manufacturing and Technology Transfer framework, making India the third country after the United States and South Korea to host such a facility. He underscored the Coast Guard’s continued focus on indigenisation, achieved through sustained multi-level engagements since 2023."
