Satellite images show damage to U.S. military installations in the Middle East following strikes carried out by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Over three days of fighting, Iranian forces targeted the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, as well as bases in Erbil, Kuwait, and Dubai. At least six U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf region were attacked, including facilities in Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.
The imagery shows damage to buildings, radar systems, satellite communications infrastructure, and other base facilities. Analysts reviewing the material said multiple structures sustained visible impact marks and structural damage.
The strikes followed the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, identified as the Islamic Republic’s spiritual leader.
Damage in Dubai
New satellite images also captured changes in Dubai’s landscape after Iranian strikes. Photographs taken in late February showed clear skies above the city, while imagery from early March showed black smoke rising over several coastal areas linked to ports, logistics hubs, and transport routes.
Iranian bases post strikes
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military destroyed nine Iranian naval warships and largely destroyed Iran’s naval headquarters.
Separate satellite imagery documented damage inside Iran following U.S. military airstrikes. Images shared on X by geo-intelligence and open-source intelligence analyst Damien Symon showed smoke rising from Iran’s strategic port region of Konarak.
The imagery indicated that at least three Iranian surface ships were destroyed and sunk. Mulitple buildings at the port site appeared damaged, along with a floating dock and patrol boats. Earlier images also showed impacts at the nearby Konarak airbase, including burn marks and structural breaches on hardened aircraft shelters.
While the base’s runways remained largely intact, surrounding operational areas showed disruption. A drone-related installation near the airstrip showed collapsed structures and scattered debris. Analysts also identified damage to fortified storage positions and bunker-like enclosures, with visible impact points and disturbed ground patterns consistent with precision strikes.
