Air Defences Intercept Majority of Missiles and Drones as UAE and Qatar Condemn Attacks

The United Arab Emirates and Qatar have confirmed that their territories were targeted by ballistic missiles and drones with air defence systems intercepting the majority of incoming threats.
The UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD)said its air defence systems intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones in the latest wave of attacks, while one missile landed inside the country without causing casualties.
Since the start of what it described as Iranian aggression, 186 ballistic missiles were launched at the UAE 172 were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and one landed on land. Of 812 drones detected, 755 were intercepted and 57 fell within the country. All eight detected cruise missiles were also destroyed. The attacks caused collateral damage, including three foreign national fatalities and 68 minor injuries. Minor to moderate damage was reported at several civilian sites.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Defenceannounced that the country was targeted by two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
Air defence systems successfully intercepted one missile, while the second struck Al-Udeid Air Base without causing any casualties.
