Israeli -35I fighter shot down an Iranian Air Force YAK-130 Combat-Trainer over Tehran today , the Israeli Air Force announced stating that this is the first shoot-down of a manned fighter aircraft by an F-35 jet.
The Israeli Air Force, during the night (Tuesday) conducted an extensive airstrike sortie against infrastructure across Iran. Among the targets attacked was a complex used by the Iranian Army for storing and launching ballistic missiles, in Isfahan in western Iran.
In addition, numerous sites used for storing ballistic missiles and defense systems of the Iranian terror regime were attacked. These strikes deepened air superiority in several areas in Iran.
Iranian media reported that the U.S and Israel carried out a strike on Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, though officials have yet to release detailed information about the extent of the damage.
Mehr News Agency published images it said were related to the attack on the airport, but did not provide further clarification on casualties or infrastructure losses.
Mehrabad International Airport, located in western Tehran, is one of Iran’s largest and busiest airports, serving domestic routes and some international and official flights.
U.S.’ THAAD anti-missile systems put out of service
The IRGC Public Relations announced that "precision missiles launched by the IRGC Aerospace Force have struck and disabled the second US THAAD missile defense system in West Asia, putting it out of service."
The statement added that the "THAAD radar stationed at Al-Ruwais base in the United Arab Emirates had been destroyed the previous day." According to the IRGC, with the elimination of these two systems, the Islamic Republic of #Iran’s missile capabilities are now able to reach their intended targets successfully.
