The Temporary Leadership Council of Iran has approved that there should be no more attacks on neighboring countries and no missile launches, unless an attack against Iran originates from those countries, President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a televised address.
The president did not specify if American bases or other assets in Gulf countries would also be free from attacks.
Iran has been accused of attacking economic targets in neighbouring countries such as airports and oil installations.
Countries that bore the brunt are Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan. In addition, Azerbaijan and Turkey too have come under attack from Iranian drones, a claim Tehran denies.
