Russia Threatens to Target European Companies Supplying Drone Components to Ukraine

The move appears to be inspired by Tehran which attacked US’ facilities and companies based in Gulf countries for enabling the U.S. to attack Iran.

The Russian Ministry of Defense published a list of countries and companies it alleges produce parts for drones used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Kremlin claimed that components for Ukrainian drones are produced not only in Turkey, but also by various companies operating in Germany, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic , and Israel.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council , stated following the release of the list: “The list of facilities in Europe that produce drones and other military equipment is a list of potential targets for the Russian Armed Forces.”

Medvedev stressed that the possibility of an attack on these targets "depends on developments on the ground."

The statement identified KMD Avio , Mvfli , Epa Power , and Gilardoni in Italy; “Professional” in Hanau , Germany ; “ Navigation UAV” in Madrid, Spain ; and PBS in Prague, Czech Republic , were involved in the production activities. Elsight , operating in Haifa, Israel , was mentioned as providing cellular connectivity modules.

In addition, it identified two Turkish companies- Tualcom develops receivers  for space-based radio navigation signals for Ukraine, while Dowaksa produced carbon fiber materials used in UAV bodies at its production facility in Yalova.
