Satellite imagery indicates Iran struck US Air Force F-35 fighter jet hangars in Jordan and Israel’s Ramat David Air Base besides U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Following the dangerous escalation, Iran announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all types of ships.

Iran claimed to have struck four F-35 hangars at Salti Mufawak Air Base in Jordan, but Amman claimed to have shot down all targets and that only debris caused damage.

Earlier this week, Israel's Ramat David Air Base in the north of the country suffered a precision strike by an Iranian Ghadr-F ballistic missile, indicated by satellite reconnaissance data. The strike on the depot infrastructure indicates the use of a high-precision homing head with GLONASS/GPS data correction and an inertial platform.

The ballistic trajectory minimized the approach time, reducing the effectiveness of Israel's Arrow and David's Sling missile defense systems. As a result, the logistics of aircraft weapons have been disrupted, directly impacting the combat readiness of F-16 and F-35I squadrons. Such strikes demonstrate the evolution of Iranian missile systems in terms of component standardization and increased jamming resistance of onboard computers.

Centcom confirms strike against Iranian targets

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed additional self-defense strikes against multiple targets in Iran, June 10, at the Commander in Chief’s direction.

CENTCOM forces launched strikes on Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran. U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters.
