Ukraine Unveils MUL.E Electric-Hybrid Combat Motorcycle

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has launched MUL.E, Ukraine's first all-wheel-drive electric motorcycle for operational use by the armed forces in difficult terrain.

An order for 1500 motorcycles has been placed on its manufacturer.

Developed by a Ukrainian company specializing in military products. The vehicle was designed at the request of the military to perform tasks in a modern high-intensity war. The engineers delivered a number of important design solutions that traditional military motorcycles with internal combustion engines do not have.

MUL.E is intended for carrying personnel with their weapons, small cargo , wounded soldiers, on  and off-road.

A full charge of the MUL.E batteries is enough for almost 100 km. Once they run down, the vehicle does not come to a halt as other electric machines do. An additional gasoline generator is mounted on the MUL.E frame to charge the standard batteries. It is removable, so it can also serve as a power source for:

charging the batteries of phones, communications equipment and FPV drones;

supplying electricity to a unit in the field.

Wide off-road tires and all-wheel drive allow the electric motorcycle to move over difficult terrain, washed-out ground, sand, deep snow and marshland.

The vehicle exerts as little pressure on the ground as an infantryman's foot. As a result, it does not set off most mines designed to hit vehicles and armor.
