Virtual Scenarios Simulation To Help Build Cyber Security

In an era that values cyber security above all, defense giants are focused on improving methods to fend cyber terrorism using virtual networks based on real-world scenarios. At this year’s ITEC conference and exhibition in London, major organisations will showcase their cutting edge technologies and projects. Attending the conference, Israel-based Elbit Systems will for the first time introduce its CyberShield NCDS Training System which will emulate cyber defence virtual environment. This system is designed to train cyber-security professionals in securing national military and civilian networks against all forms of cyber attacks. The technology will be based on previous incidents, simulating large scale virtual networks and will allow trainees to secure national military and civilian networks against all forms of cyber attacks, countermeasures and improve protocols. Highlighting the need to cyber security along with Elbit is defense giant QinetiQ who will present Pre-Deployment Training Situational Awareness Tool (PDTSA). Developed for the UK Ministry of Defense, the product will combine theatre-specific incident data with geographically and operationally realistic virtual terrains to increase soldiers' awareness of their surroundings and, ultimately, help save lives. The PDSTA is currently being used by British troops preparing for deployment to Afghanistan under the Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) programme.
