Irkut Net Profit Grew By 44% in 2011

Russian aircraft-maker Irkut Corporation’s net profit has grown a whopping 44% in 2011, according to the financial statements published by the company. JSC IRKUT Corporation received a record amount of net profit - 123 443 thousand US$, which is 44% more against 2011’s results (net profit of 2010 - 85 546 thousand US$). Net profit margin was 8% in 2011 (2010 – 5%). In 2011, the operating profit margin was 12%, a rather high figure for the global aviation industry. The corporation’s high levels of profitability was the result of increasing managing flexibility, implementation of innovative technologies, as well as decreasing production costs and widespread use of lean manufacturing technologies. Among the factors that have had an impact on the Corporation’s activities in 2011 was the first serial delivery of the Yak-130 New generation combat trainer. The positive results of JSC IRKUT Corporation in 2011, increased order backlog, successful development of the main programs – Su-30, Yak-130, MC-21, indicate the stable position of the Company.
