The Nemo Plus, an AMV armoured fighting vehicle with a new concept turret, has been introduced at Eurosatory 2012 by defense giant Patria. The latest turrent combines the Nemo 120mm mortar system with Kongsberg's new Protector Super Lite remote weapon station (RWS) which is a fully stabilised light weight RWS that weighs only 30kg. It can be equipped with a 5.56mm or 7.62mm machine gun, with either 900 or 600 rounds respectively. On Tuesday, Patria announced its tie-up with Croatia's Duro Dakovic Holding (DDH) to pursue common efforts in the sale of the AMV on a case-by-case basis to selected third countries. According to the agreement,Patria will be the prime contractor and will also have a significant role in the production of the vehicles. DDH subsidiary DDSV is already reducing the versions of the AMV for the Croatian armed forces, which has ordered 70 of the 8x8 AFVs.
