Lockheed Martin $27M Contract for ASW Rockets from US DoD

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Akron, Ohio, was awarded June 29 a $27,000,053 firm-fixed-price contract for 22 sets of Vertical Launch Anti-Submarine Rocket MK54 all-up-round components, technical data package, government-furnished equipment repairs and maintenance, and engineering and repair services. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $28,897,085. Work will be performed in Akron, Ohio (76 percent); Elkton, Md. (13 percent); Chandler, Ariz. (5 percent); Salt Lake City, Utah (5 percent); and Johnstown, Pa. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively awarded. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
