U.S To Supply Amphibious Vehicles To Brazil

Brazil has requested the U.S for the sale of 26 Assault Amphibious Vehicles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support in a deal worth $233 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress. Brazil is hoping to acquire 26 Assault Amphibious Vehicles with ancillary equipment, and machine guns and will also upgrade existing AAVs, weapons and ammunition. Brazil will use this equipment to augment its current inventory of amphibious vehicles and to modernize and strengthen its naval operational amphibious capability in support of national defense objectives.
