Two helicopters belonging to the Indian Air Force collided mid-air today in Gujarat killing six personnel and injuring three on board. Two medium transport Russian-made Mi-17 helicopters crashed into each other at approximately 12:25 pm IST. The incident occurred while the choppers were on a training mission. Air Force authorities along with the fire brigade and police officials arrived at the scene shortly and are assessing the situation. A court of inquiry has already been ordered, an IAF official in New Delhi confirmed.
