Dr Andreas Schwer To Head Rheinmetall Combat System Division

Dr Andreas Schwer has joined the Executive board of Rheinmetall Defence, the defence technology arm on 1st September. Combat Systems division will be headed by Dr Andreas Schwer and will look into Rheinmetall’s complete array of combat-related products. Prior to this Dr Andreas Schwer Armin Papperger, had been the Chairman of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Defence for the past 8 months. Dr Schwer was with the European Space Agency (ESA), after completing his studies at the universities of Stuttgart and Delft. After which he rose through the ranks at the EADS Group. Dr Andreas Schwer held executive posts at EADS Astrium, Eurocopter and the Defence & Security unit which is now known as Cassidian.
